We're building the honest alternative, one that actually wants to be better:
Just real people, and the things that actually matter.
On most apps you swipe on a face and hope. Here you tell us what matters: children, faith, ambition, the way someone handles a hard day, and how much each one counts. We rank people on substance, and always show you why you fit. No mystery algorithm.
Answer the questions that count, and set how much each one weighs.
Filter and sort a real grid of people by values, distance and intent.
See exactly why you match, then open a conversation that has a reason to exist.
Jarta gives you a filterable grid of people who fit, sorted by shared values, not by who paid for a boost.
Intent, distance, children, faith, lifestyle: set it once and only see people who clear your bar.
Each match shows the values you share, so you always know why someone's a good fit.
Your grid is just people who fit your filters, ranked on shared values. Nobody buys their way to the top.
No "advanced filters" locked behind a tier. The whole matching system is included for everyone, at one price.
Most apps split people into two bad experiences: an unmanageable flood, or invisibility. We designed against both.
The five-conversation cap means nobody can pile up threads they'll never read. And neither can you. No guilt-inducing pile of unread matches, no small talk on eight fronts. Fewer, realer conversations, with room to notice someone.
You appear for everyone whose filters you fit, ranked by shared values, not by who paid for placement or gets swiped on most. And because everyone's attention is capped, the people talking to you are actually talking to you.
What we measure is simple: people going on dates, and people finding relationships, not hours spent scrolling. Every decision we make starts from that.
Browse a calm, filterable grid of people, like the old days. Sort by what matters to you, not by an algorithm chasing your attention.
Set your values and how much each one counts: children, faith, ambition, lifestyle. Matches are ranked on substance, and we always show you why.
No blurred faces, no "upgrade to see who's interested," no waiting for a match. If someone's interested, you'll get a real message. Full stop.
Keep up to five conversations at once. To start a new one, let an old one go. Fewer threads, more presence. The kind that ends in coffee.
Report a profile, a message, or a photo and a real person looks at it. Bots and scammers get removed. That's a promise, not a premium tier.
One flat price: no free tier built to frustrate you, no gender-based pricing, no premium tiers. Every feature, for every member.
| Side by side | The big apps | Jarta |
|---|---|---|
| Price | "Free" + $10–60/mo tiers | $2.99/mo — $35.88 total, ever |
| Seeing who's interested | Behind a paywall | It's just a message |
| Your visibility | Algorithm + paid boosts | Filters + shared values |
| Finding people | Endless swiping | A grid you browse |
| Conversations | Unlimited, mostly dead | Five at a time, on purpose |
| Fake profiles & bots | 20–40% of profiles, industry estimates | Verified before you can match |
| Success metric | Hours you spend in-app | Dates that end the subscription |
After 12 months, it's yours for life. $35.88 total, ever. We stop billing you.
Free apps sell your attention. To advertisers, or back to you as upgrades. A fair price is what keeps us honest: no ads, no promoted profiles, and our only job is making dating work, because you pay the bills. It also means bots and scammers pay for the privilege of getting banned. One price, everyone, everything: no gender pricing, no premium tier.
Not while you wait. Joining the waitlist is free, and setting up your profile before launch is free. Your membership starts the day your city goes live. You never pay to look at an empty room.
It's our launch target, and the model is the promise: one flat price with everything included. If the price ever changes, it changes for everyone equally: never per feature, never per gender, never as a surprise on your bill.
No. After 12 months of billing, your subscription converts automatically to lifetime access: $35.88, total, ever. We stop charging you, and you keep everything, for as long as Jarta exists. It's a hard cap on what we can ever take from one person, not a promotional rate that quietly reverts.
You get an invite to set up your profile before launch day. When the city opens, everyone arrives at once, so your first day is a full grid of people who are also on day one, not an empty room or a graveyard of abandoned profiles.
Before your city launches, everyone verifies who they really are: a national eID check in markets that have one, or a document-plus-liveness face match where eID isn't available yet (initially the case in the US, for example). It's a requirement to join, not an optional badge. Reports are still reviewed by a real person on top of that, so verification stops fakes at the door and human review handles everything else.
European company, European servers. No ads means no ad profiling: your answers exist to match you with people, nothing else. You can export everything we hold about you, or delete it all, any time.
Really. Attention is the scarcest thing on a dating app, and the cap protects yours. And everyone else's. Here's the full reasoning.
One sentence, no mystery: your grid shows everyone who matches your filters, ordered by how well your answers align with theirs and theirs with yours. Nothing else. No engagement scores, no paid visibility, no hidden ranking signal.
No outside investors to answer to. Jarta is self-funded, with no VC money and no growth-at-all-costs backers pushing for an eventual sale, a pivot to ads, or a return that requires squeezing more out of you. There's no cap table demanding the model change. If anything here ever changes, it'll be our call to defend to you directly, not a decision made by someone we raised money from.
Dark patterns are easy to add and easy to hide. So here's the list we refuse to build, written down so you can hold us to it.
We'll keep our promises. In return, we ask three simple things of everyone who joins.
Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. We're all here to make real connections, so lead with warmth.
See a fake profile, a scam, or unkind behaviour? Report it. We read every report and we act. It keeps everyone safe.
Real photos, honest answers. The whole point is to be met for who you actually are, not a polished stranger.
No fake countdowns or "spots left." A city goes live when enough people nearby have joined, so you'll be able to find someone.
Help us decide where to launch next. Add your city, and we'll bring honest dating to you.
Free to join · we'll only email you about your city.
